What Do You Use???

So does anyone have any product recommendations for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, and lotion, that is safe during pregnancy? I know no parabens, sodium LAURYL sulfate, salycilic acid, benzoyl peroxide, pthalates, etc. Looking to see what actual products everyone is using. Please and thank you :!

You are going to have to get pretty crunchy to avoid all of those.  My best recommendation is to visit the Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep database (just google it) and you can search different products.

You are going to get all kinds of opinions of whether certain products are safe or not.  You really need to do your own research and determine what you are comfortable with.

A lot of people will tell you that you should not be concerned because the products are only on your skin or you use them and wash off.  Well, if any of us paid attention in anatomy class, you would probably remember that the skin is the largest organ in the body.

I have found it very interesting living in Europe that certain products commonly sold in the US are banned by the European Union.

I use Yes to Carrots which you can find in Target.  Cetaphil has a pretty good rating too for face lotion.  I generally try to stick to less perfumey stuff, it ends up having less of the chemicals.  For shampoo, i haven't looked it up on EWG yet, but Kiehls is pretty good although pricey.  I'm trying to grow out my hair, so I thought i'd splurge.

I will have to see which ingredients are in the actual lubriderm lotion i purchased.

Can u list what products are actually good? Not many people can dedicate hours to try to find a lotion. My doc said lubriderm is ok so i will most likely stick with it. I will skim the ingredients though.
Its kinda hard to google and fact check the 100 lotions that are on the shelves.

EWG is a great resource.  I have been using Yes to Cucumbers shampoo and some Alba products, all available at Target.  I am pretty pleased with them.

We use the EO Everyone brand for shampoo, soap, lotion and hand soap.  The boys use California baby products.

Ditto the EWG database.

I always use Kiss My Face facewash and lotion. DD uses Earth Mama Angel Baby. As far as changes during pregnancy, I didn't change my hair products, I ditched the occasional salicylic acid and/or benzoyl peroxide use, I avoid parabens more stringently than before.

Yep!!!

I have had 3 healthy pregnancies, and NEVER once changed or even thought of changing my products. I am not trying to offend anyone but REALLY? haha... I am  sorry but people need to relax. My dr never told me anything would be dangerous. I even had my hair dyed and everything. I even ate boat loads of deli meat with my 1st because they didn't realize it was "bad" then. I will even eat some now but warm it up first- no big deal. I must just be more laid back than most.

This.

& according to American Pregnancy Association, benzoyl peroxide IS SAFE. My Dr. advised me it was okay for me to continue to use Proactiv.

Yes they dropped to 261 and I started bleeding yesterday and had the most excruciating cramping pain I've ever had for hours last night. Took my breath away. Today has just been bleeding. I go on Monday to have my levels checked again we will TTC right away.
