Refusing solids?

My DS is 11 months old today and for the last 2-3 days he has been refusing all solids and throwing a fit when an attempt is made to give them to him. He does have a cold, but is taking his bottles, so I'm not sure what the deal is. I guess it's possible he could be teething, but I don't see any swollen gums or any bumps trying to break through.

Has anyone else's LO gone through a phase where they started refusing solids after previously eating them just fine?

DS went through a few days of this here and there.  He would take his bottles just fine, but would not want to eat anything.  One time, he had an ear infection.  I was shocked when the doctor told me because he wasn't showing any other signs of discomfort.  The other times, it's been teething, or a cold.  He usually snaps out of it within the week.

Are you talking about purees or table food?  Because DS started flipping his shizz at purees and it turned out he was just wanting to feed himself.

this is what I was going to ask too.  We had to quit purees cold turkey because DD started refusing to eat them.

Both purees and finger foods but especially purees. He will maybe eat a couple of bites of finger foods but mostly just plays with it. He does have a history of ear infections (3 in the last 10 weeks or one that just didn't go away until he got Rocephin shots). I am going to ask my neighbor, who is a nurse, to come check his ears tonight. He doesn't have fever or seem in pain at this point but I do want to make sure.

My DS (10mo) has been refusing them from us but not dc. If I sing he might eat two oz:) no problem eating Cheerios, puffs, goldfish, cheese, chicken. I've tried other finger foods but no luck yet

I agree with PPs. Either LO is just turned off because of an illness, or bored of purees. I wouldn't eat purees if you paid me, well maybe if you paid me, but maybe he's over them???
