11 week growth spurt???

I'm usually a lurker on here but I'm so tired I need to know there's an end in sight! :) My lo just turned 11 weeks on Monday and starting Sunday he started eating less and sleeping WAY less at night! Typically he eats 4 1/2 to 5 ounces EVERY feeding which is usally every 2 to 3 hours...sometimes longer, and he also has been sleeping at least 5 to 7 hours straight at night. He goes to bed around 7:30 or 8...he won't stay up past then...well lately he is up every 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours at night at he will only eat 2 to maybe 3 ounces all day and at night no more than 3 1/2. It was a SLOW progression to him sleeping 5 hours...so I'm drained! LOL Last night he literally ate, slept for 20 minutes and PLAYED the entire time till his next feeding! Ladies, is this normal????

My son is 11 weeks and his nightly sleeping and feeding has changed. I posted about it in Sept 2012 and some people said that infants can cycle between routines. Good luck!

At 10 1/2 week's my normally very easy to put down baby became a terror for about 3 days. Getting her to sleep was very difficult. But if your LO is eating less that doesn't sound like a growth spurt. He sound be eating more.

Thanks Ladies...he has been up forever the past couple days! I can only get him to drink 1 1/2 ounces since this morning. NO more, no less. Plus he doesn't really nap during the days either...if it continues I might call the doctor. My lo can chow down food so it's "weird" to me but maybe it's normal!

Id call. That's definitely weird and that's a scary small amount for an 11 wk old to eat.
