I think it is lovely as a nickname or a stand-alone.

My preference is for a longer name (maybe Louisa) w/ nn Lucy, but that's just personal taste.

It's my second favorite, after Charlotte, which we won't be using. I'd like to go with Lucia nn Lucy, but husband is concerned about the whole "Charlie and Lucy" issue. Why do all of the names I love conflict?
