Yeah, they are fine. Go for it. During first trimester last time for me they were a God Send.

For one, I thought it might be a vitamin overload with the prenatal vitamins.

I think they're probably fine.  There are a million articles out there telling you about everything you should and shouldn't eat.  In the end, you just need to weigh the pros and cons and decide what's best for your body and your baby.  Asking your OB at your next appointment can't hurt either.

Any chance you work with a couple other pregnant ladies? :)  If so, PM me!

Most vitamins are not especially harmful even if you get more than recommended. Especially because in artificial sources we don't absorb them 100. A notable exception is vitamin A. You need some vitamin A but large amounts can cause serious birth defects. Do a little research to figure out amounts and if Cluf bars are going to put you into dangerous territory don't eat them.

Bonus of being pregnant: nobody can try to force you to eat liver onions. Many animal livers have huge doses if vitamin A

You know that almost everything you eat has vitamins in it, right?

You'll just pee out pretty much any vitamins your body doesn't absorb!

And I'm pretty sure they're fine. I've been eating about two everyday. They're one of the only things I can stomach when I'm feeling empty between snacks and meals.

Try the mojo bars made by cliff. They are low on the glycemic index, 9 grams protein, 2 grams fiber and 70 percent organic and yummy!

Clif bars and others like them were a godsend when I was pregnant with dd. I couldn't eat meat, so they were an excellent source of protein.
