Is there a particular reason you're worried about her?

I'm of the opinion you can't do much to speed up their development, in the same way you can't do much to slow it down.

If there is an actual delay that a Dr is concerned with, then you'd probably be looking at physical therapy, but I would think you'r LO is too young for anyone to be seriously worried.

Best if you let your LO's Pedi know. Just call and ask, you don't even need to get an appointment. If Pedi seems to be concerned he'll make you come in and test out your baby's physical abilities.

 Hope everything works out.

My DD is 9 months old and just started crawling and getting into a sitting position alone last week.  We had her 9 month pedi appt and she wasn't the slightest bit worried that she wasn't crawling at that point.  The rest of her development was right on target or surpassed.  They all develop at their own rates.  I wouldn't worry about it yet.  Many babies don't crawl because they are on their backs so much.  My DD hated tummy time, so their wasn't much I could do to help, but we would put toys just out of her reach so she would try to get to them.  You could try that and see how she does.

Every baby is different. My girls are 11 months old ( but 2 months premature) and one of my girls JUST started puting herself into a sit up position on her own while my other has been doing it for awhile. They still dont even crawl off the ground just army style and i've seen Physical Therapists along w/ many other specialist and not one is worried about them. I would talk with your pediatrician about it if you are concerned.

Oh and you can help her by just giving her LOTS and LOTS of floor time.

Be careful what you wish for!!!

As the PP mentioned, just bring it up with your Pedi at the next appointment.  DD was slow to go through some of the physical phases.  Even now she's not exactly one for having "Grace" as a middle name (she could fall over her shoelace - just like her Dad)..  I think she was 15mo before she really figured out the whole wobble-walk thing.  at 1yr she could just barely bring herself to standing and was a full fence turtle in that she didn't know what to do once she got there..

Lucia just turned 9 months, and she can't crawl and only just started to be able to get herself into sitting position. And she can't do that everytime. There is a wide range of normal for these skills. I'm not worried, but if you are just check with your doctor at her next appointment.
