I stopped BCP yesterday and have my baseline u/s tomorrow.  Meds should arrive today and I should start stimming on Friday!  Let's get this show on the road!!

QOTW:  I do have fond memories of Twinkies... but really, more specifically, Chocodiles (chocolate covered Twinkies).  My one regret is that I've never had a deep fried Twinkie and I am concerned about what I will eat during the apocalypse!!

Ivf 1 here. On day 6 of stims...will inject tonight. Have my 2nd monitoring appt shortly. Showed lots of follies on Monday with 8 being measurable.  

Twinkies aren't going anywhere. Someone will buy hostess and they'll be back. I'm more upset about the thought of the hoho not existing. The Swiss cake roll is a subpar substitute.

Yay! Excited to be part of the Dec. Snow Bunnies! This is my first round of IVF.  I finished my last provera pill (using that instead of BCP) on the 25th.  I have my suppression check-ultrasound/bw on Friday 11/30 and then start the stims on 12/1. 

QOTW: I really can't say I'm sad about the twinkie being gone.  I have probably only had one or two in my life, and they were never really a favorite of mine.

TTC naturally since Nov 2010. Starting injections for IVF Dec. 1st. Praying for the Christmas gift of a lifetime!!! 11/30 Baseline U/S and bloodwork-everything looks great! 12/1 Start Stims 12/11 ER 16R 7M 7F 12/16 ET 12/26 Beta #1 364 12/28 Beta #2 758 12/31 Beta #3 2249 12/31 Ultrasound showed...TWINS!!!!!! 2/4 Ultrasound showed one baby with HR of 174 and one angel baby.  I start stimming on Saturday. I had my baseline appt yesterday and I have no cyst's and my E2 was under 25. I go back next Tuesday for blood work.

I don't think Twinkies are going any were. I am sure some one will buy hostess. I love swiss cake rolls and hoho's.

Today is Day 5 of stims (injections tonight).  I had my E2 check yesterday.  It was 126.5.  No changes were made to my drug dosages.  I go back in tomorrow for more labs and an ultrasound.  I am definitely feeling "full", but with an E2 as low as mine is I can only imagine what it will feel like by this weekend!  I also mentioned it in another post, but I am having terrible tendon pain.  It's like my whole body has tendonitis!  My right foot is most bothersome.  Interesting how drugs affect each of us differently...

 

QOTW:  Honestly, I don't really like Twinkies (or any other Hostess brand snacks) very much.  Now, if Little Debbie was going out of business, I would probably cry!  Love me some Oatmeal Cream Pies and Nutty Buddies!  Mmm mm!

Day 5 of injections happens tonight, and my first monitoring appointment was this morning!  Waiting for a phone call back to see if there are any changes to the protocol.  They said they saw 5 big and 6 small follicles - I don't know if that's a little slow or not?  They said they'd know more once they got the blood results back, so I'm trying not to stress until I hear back.

 

I'm still feeling totally normal, physically, which weirds me out a bit?

 

QOTW: Twinkies never did anything for me, but the Hostess cupcake makes me sad. But really, so long as Little Debbie sticks around, I'll be okay.  Because I don't know what I'd do without her Nutty Bars.

I'm on lupron nightly right now, and u/s #2 this Friday and every Friday until FET.

 QOTW: I like twinkies, for I enjoyed a few last night. Am I worried, not really. I'm sure either someone will buy them out (which would be wise), or I can learn how to make some cream filled cake. Meanwhile, as long as there's Little Debbie's I think I'll survive. :)

Good morning, snowbunnies!  I've moved up to the Stimming/Priming group as of yesterday.  I go back in for monitoring on Friday and will probably add Menopur to the mix Saturday.  

QOTW: I don't think I'll miss Twinkies - I was never a fan, but the Cupcakes - the frosting alone was a little piece of sugar goodness.  Of course, I haven't eaten a Hostess product in so long I can't remember, so this is pure nostalgia speaking.

I gave myself my first Lupron injection this morning as well as started with Baby Aspirin.  I stop BCPs saturday and go back Monday for my suppression ultrasound.  Its coming along.  I'm just so concerned with my low follicle count.  I'm only 29 :( ... I should have had so many more.  I'm trying not to focus on it so that I can think positively about the outcome of this cycle.  Will keep you ladies updated!

Update: I had my first post op monitoring on Monday. All is looking well. I go back in on Friday for an ovulation check. They are going to give me the prescriptions for the estrogen and progesterone that I will start taking after confirmation of O. But we're getting close! I should be ovulating within the next week. FET with be 5 days after that!

QOTW: I've never been a big twinkie fan. My mom never bought them when we were little and when I got older, I was more into Tastycakes.

I'd like to be added!

I was a Turkey Baster, but IVF#1 was cancelled due to understimulation. Anyway, I'm back on for this second round (not sure if you'd call it IVF#2 since I didn't get to retrieval last time).

I'm stimming right now. ER is set for Wednesday the 5th and ET (hopefully!) for the 10th.

Twinkies are pretty delicious, but completely awful for you. We try not to eat anything that has preservatives, GMOs, etc. I do feel bad for the people that lost their jobs though.

 
TTC since 2/11 - Unexplained IF B/W revealed high prolactin levels. Taking bromocriptine for prolactin.
IUI #1-3 = BFN
IVF November = Cancelled (undermedicated = small follicles)
IVF December = ER 12/6 - 6R/4M/Only 1F
Transfered our one and only blast (3AA) on 12/11

UPDATE: I have an appointment tomorrow and if all goes well, I'll start stimming the day after. I'm on a short protocol so things are going to fly by, I feel. Super nervous, for some reason.

QOTW: There will be Twinkies. Oh, there will be. If they stop making them, I go into business specifically to make the Twinkie. I love those crappy little logs of semi-natural baked products. (They are baked, right? That isn't just golden coloring?)

TTC #1 for about 3.5 years
ME: 37, PCO, immune issues?, teflon uterus (my added diagnosis)
HIM: 38, Perfect. (Showoff.)
Month before starting Clomid, spontaneous pregnancy. m/c at 7 weeks and D&C.
Four months of Clomid, one IUI, with Intralipid each cycle: BFNs all
IVF 1.0 July 2012 -- Lupron, bravelle, menopur, estrogen, progesterone supps, intralipid. 14 ER, 14 fertilized, 1 blast transferred, 2 on ice. BFN
FET 1.1 -- 10/2, transferred our 2 blasts. Lupron, PIO, estrogen, baby aspirin, prednisone. BFN.
IVF 2.0 December 2012 -- Bravelle, Menopur, Ganirelix, Prednisone, Metformin, estrogen, progesterone supps. 22 eggs retrieved on 12/14, 17 mature, 15 fertilized. OHSS anticipated so ET cancelled. 3 embryos frozen.
Broke up with old RE. Moving on to new dude. Maybe the change of scenery will be just the trick for our frosties. On BCPs for possible April FET.

Hi bunnies!

Update: I'm on day 7 of stims (150 Menopur and 150 Gonal-F every day, added Cetrotide as well on day 5).  Had my second monitoring appt today, and I have six follies on the left and five on the right.  Since I'm DOR, so far I'm happy with that!  We're anticipating ER on Sunday, 12/2 right now.  I can't wait for this portion of the IVF cycle to be over!

QOTW: I won't really miss Twinkies, but I will miss the Hostess cupcakes.  Luckily, there are plenty of decent rip-offs.  Plus, I would be surprised if some company doesn't buy those recipes sometime soon.

Hello!

Today will be day 5 of stims.  I had my 2nd ultrasound/follie check this morning..all looks good.  The nurse said my E2 came back yesterday at over 500!  She said it's supposed to be between 1500-3000 when I'm ready for retrievel so they scaled back my stims.  I'm waiting to hear this afternoon for my next dosage.  She warned me I may have to come in everyday to check things out b/c I'm at risk of over responding.

qotd:  I'm not much of a hostess girl so it doesn't bother me too much...I love little debbie though!  I do believe they'll be back though, just as pp said.  someone will buy out the company and continue producing.

Took my last BCP last night.  I have baseline on Friday and start stimming on Saturday.  I spoke to the pharmacy that is sending my meds and the price came in about $1000 below what we were planning on, so I'm pretty happy about that.  I should be getting my box of goodies tomorrow.

 I was so nervous about this last week, but now I'm excited to start.

 Good luck to all the bunnies this week!

 QOTW: I was never a fan of Twinkies, but I do feel sentimental about them.  It's kinda sad that they won't be around anymore.

I am hanging in there. I go for my baseline u/s tomorrow, start stims tomorrow or Friday depending on everything. We also have to pay tomorrow(gulp!), I think I'd blocked that part of this out, lol! I am so ready to move on to stims! I thought I was one of the lucky ones without Lupron headaches, but today it's in full force :(

As for Twinkies, I have not had one in years, but would love to eat one now that everyone has talked about them!! I'm sure someone will make them again :)

I lost almost 10 lbs prior to IVF in preparation for all the stress related eating I would be doing ;

Oh goodness this is crazy! I was supposed to start Follistim last night but I'm on hold because my uterine lining is super thick as seen on my baseline US I had this Monday.  I'm still waiting to hear from my RE on what in the whuck everything means and what I do next. I am supposed to hear this afternoon. I had a regular period a week before so now I'm wondering if I went overboard on all my "thicken the uterine lining" supplements and the acupuncture treatments.

New Update! Yay! I'm still in the game! I have PCOS apparently and they don't know why my lining is so thick (acupuncture???). I start Follistim tonight. Oh my goodness that was nerve wracking!

Twinkies - someone will buy the recipe and make them. I'm not sad about it. Sad people lost their jobs due to union b.s. though.

Thanks twists. I'm hanging in there, trying to look on the bright side - can work out like crazy, drink a lot, etc. and I'm hoping 2013 will bring great things! I have everything crossed for you!! I can't wait to hear how everything goes!

Hello Snowbunnies!

I would like to be added to the list!  I am a regular on ttc 35+, and this is my first IVF after ~ two years of ttc and multiple failed IUIs.

Juicy, it looks like we are on the same schedule.  I had my last BCP yesterday and first monitoring appointment on Friday. 

RE:  Twinkies & Hostess.  I would not miss Twinkies, but I love Ding Dongs.  I also spent the last three years in Philadelphia, where I developed an awful Tastycakes problem, especially the peanut butter candy cakes (the ones in the Phillies and Eagles wrappers). 

Lots of luck to everyone!

TTC since Jan 2011,
5 IUIs from January to October 2012 = all BFN
IVF #1, ER scheduled for mid-December
