? about IVF after ET

My firned is planning IVF #1 in January. Originally the RE said she wasn't a candidate for IVF due to her egg quality, but after a recent medicated IUI cycle she showed great results. Enough that she is now a candidate for IVF. She was very excited.

Anyway, I know after ET you take it easy and I was wondering what would be a good gift to take to her? Magazines? Junk Food? 

She was sweet to buy me a journal for my journey and I just want to do something to give back to her.

Beta #1=81.1 Beta #2=134.5 Beta #3=58.1 #4=2369 WTH?!-Not sure if its viable
2/21/13 - Went to RE expecting the worse and saw the flutter of the heart.To God be the Glory!!
2/28/13 - heart rate = 147bpm!!
3/21 - First OB Appt / hr=170bpm
5/29 - It's a Girl!!

How sweet of you! She'll probably just be happy to have your company. I was home alone after ET and it was boring! Magazines are always good. You could take pizza over and have some girl time.

IVF #1:EPP 5/2012 ~ (4R, 3M, 2F w/ICSI). Both embryos txfrd. ~ BFN
BCP to manage endo from 10/2012 to 12/2012.
5/2013 Waiting for Donor Embryos

That is nice of you. I would have liked Gatorade, magazines, and a few chick flicks. I am not big on junk food when I'm laying around myself, but I am sure it wouldn't go to waste!

Me: 35, DH: 36, ttc: 3+ years, dx: unknown
10/11: after 2 years, saw a RE, FSH 5.4
11/11: BFP! (surprise after thyroid med & normal hsg),
12/11: missed m/c after 7 week u/s,
1/12: D&C,
6/12 IUI #1: clomid, 5 mature follicles, excellent sperm,= BFN,
7/12: IUI #2: clomid, 3 mature follicles, excellent sperm= BFN,
8/12: IUi #3: clomid, 5 follicles, = BFP!, C/P
10/12 IVF #1: FSH 5.4, estradiol AFC: 14, long Lupron 150/bravelle75,5R/5M/4F, all 4 made it to 5dt, 1 blast and 1 8 cell transferred. No frosties. BFN
IVF #2: AFC 21, MD lupron 12/25, 225bravelle/150men, 4R/4M/3F, 5dt of 1 blast BFN
IVF #3: natural start antagon, starting 3/30, ER 4/11, 12R,11M,10F

I haven't actually gotten to an ET yet, but based on what I've seen here, I think that magazines, movies, snacks are really nice things to bring to her. You're a great friend!

I've mentioned this board to her multiple times, so hopefully the next time I see her I can show her how to get here.  She has questions about IVF that I obviously can't answer other than what I've seen on here.

I said you all would be a great resource for her! Not to mention the level of support you get here.

Very nice of you to do this. Definitely a visit is very much appreciated, it's a difficult and lonely time. Things I've really liked that people have done for me is to bring lunch over, scented soaps and lotions and magazines.

This is incredibly thoughtful! 

My Mom, MIL, & Sister each brought dinner, it was very nice to have that prepared and to have the company.  Also, I don't know what the weather is like where you live but my husband set up a chair on the lawn and built a fire in our firepit made me hot cider so I'd have a different scenery.  Mainly anything that will help time pass would be awesome!!

Dx PCOS 2006 - on Metformin
Dx Hypothyroid 2009 - on Synthroid
TTC since 12/2009
DH - Low Sperm Count

Dinner for her and spouse or family... Always appreciated. For me, I was focused on healthy food and wanted to get plenty of fruits and vegetables thinking it would somehow affect my fertility.... Neurotic, I know....
