lrn327:Twinkle, are you in the US? I wasn't sure, but I love Boon and PlanToys (which you mentioned) that are both great American brands. My DS has quite a few Boon bath toys including the sealed rubber ducks. The one time that I had an issue, they replaced my toys right away. DS is getting a PlanToys train set for his b-day and I'm so excited! (Ha ha, I hope he is too!) As a side note, Haba makes wonderful felt food too. DS adores his.
Im American but not currently living in the US. :) I like Boon too, I got a Boon stacking ring toss bathtoy, and plan on getting a few more of their bath toys! Boon sells in a few other countries, too. That train set sounds adorable, Im sure he will be totally excited when he opens his present! :) One of the PPs mentioned Brio from Sweden and I noticed they have a lot of train sets too, you might want to check it out to compare...
Another good (American brand I think) might be Wonderworld...seems to be safe and good quality, but PlanToys might be better... Though I got one of the Wonderworld shape sorters and it appeared to be very well-made. I guess Im just mostly adding onto my own list ha ha :)
