MN opinions please

DH and I are having a boy in March and have decided his name will be Joseph and we will call him Joey. DH wants the mn to be Scott after his grandfather and I want it to be Todd after DH. I think Scott sounds better but think Todd would be nice since it's our first boy and last baby. What do you all think?

Joseph Scott sounds better, but if you'd like to name your son after your husband, you should probably do so. I liked other MNs more than Daniel, but it's my husband's name, so it's what we're going with. :)

I prefer the name Scott over Todd.  If DH doesn't want Todd then it would be a no go, but if both of you like both names, but each one of you slightly prefer the other then not sure how to help exactly!  Do one of your girls have your name as a MN?

I like Scott better.  I don't think Joseph Todd flows as well.

Scott sounds a lot better. I also don't really like using parents' names though.

I like the flow of Joseph Scott better. It's still a family name, and it's what he prefers. Why push Todd?

Disclaimer, DS is Joey and my brother is Scott so I love both names.  And I'm not a fan of naming your own kid after yourself, even in the middle name spot.

That said, I think Scott flows better as well.
