Subchorionic Hemorrhage

Hey everyone, I am 7 weeks pregnant today and last night my fianc rushed me to the ER after a huge gush of red blood. The doctors here are less than helpful and failed to let me know the size of the hemorrhage and told me it was small. However, I have not had any bleeding since the first incident and I was wondering if anyone has gone through this horrifying situation? Tips on how I can help it heal? This is my first child so as you can imagine we are both very emotional right now. All feedback will help!

You probably need to call and get an appt with your doctor. I have had two ultrasounds to check on mine and thankfully it's resolving. I was put on pelvic rest, no heavy lifting, and to take it easy. Hope that helps! Good luck!

I had one with my first pregnancy and this one as well. I had bleeding from both. Most resolve themselves in the first 20 weeks, and some bleed. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to help it heal. Drink water and rest when you can. Good thing is most outcomes of SCHs are good. :

You should do some research and talk to you doctor. From what I have researched I have found out this is pretty common among women and that it should clear up on it's own. I wouldn't worry too much, just make an appointment with your doctor and go from there. Just so you know the ER is just to get you in and out, they really want you to go to your doctor to follow up.

I had this with my first pregnancy.  They noted it on an early U/S and then I had a lot of bleeding after sex a couple weeks later.  Just pelvic rest and taking it easy as the others say.  Scary for sure, though.  We were both so upset when it happened, but I wound up with an easy pregnancy!

This happened to me during me last pregnancy. I bled off and on for about 16 or 18 weeks but now I have a healthy baby boy. It was really scary though. Luckily, my doctor was wonderful and always had me to come in when I started bleeding and did an ultrasound to make me feel better. Never be scared to call or go see your doctor.  Good luck!

I had one with my 1st pregnancy and have one with this one as well.  Never had bleeding with 1st, but on Monday I had a lot of bright red blood and cramping, ultrasound on Tuesday showed 3 cm subchorionic hematoma.  It can be caused by implantation.  They usually resolve without complications.

But you need to be on pelvic restricitions, no sex until it resolves, no heaving lifting and no heavy physical activity.
