Pay for upgrade: from Medela Swing to Medela Pump in Style Advance?

So my insurance only covers the Medela Swing Away Pump (single electric....great reviews....) but they give you the option to upgrade to the Medela Pump in Style Advanced for about $100.

I'm thinking it might just be worth it to upgrade....especially because I will be going back to work full time after 12 weeks and would like to continue giving LO breast milk.

Does anyone have either of these? Would you recommend upgrading?

I had the Freestyle when I had DD and couldn't imagine pumping without a double pump- especially going back to work. I could knock out a pumping session in 20 minutes setup to breakdown whereas with a single pump you'll need 15ish minutes per side (depending on the pump). I didn't have that time to spare, especially since I started pumping when DD was a few weeks old because my supply was down so I would be pumping with a newborn waiting for me...

I have used both of them. I own the Pump in Style Advanced and honestly, I can't imagine not having it. I used it for 8 straight months, every 2 hours, 24 hours a day and It knocks out pumping in about 20 mins. Plus, its really easy to bring with you wherever you go. I love it and will be using it again this time around.

If you plan to pump when you go back to work, I recommend the double electric (PISA). I have the PISA and cannot imagine pumping 2-3x a day at work with a single pump. (I EBF for 14 months with DS and work full time.)

Yes! you totally want a double if you will be pumping several times a day at work.
