Monitoring appt (After 5 days of Stims) Updated

I had my second monitoring appointment today, but first ultrasound since baseline.  I had six follicles on the left and eleven on the right.  Sizes:  12, 11.7, 11.1, 10.7, 10, 9.5, 2 @ 8.8, 8.3, 2 @ 8.1, 8, 7.5, and 3 @ 6.8.

 

My RE said my response was "adequate".  Not sure how I feel about that.  He said he felt that all the follicles above size 9 at the point would be ready together.  I am waiting to hear what my E2 was.  They also checked P4.  Any ideas why?

 

Those who have been through this...shoot me straight.  How do my follicles look to you? 

ETA:  My E2 was 333 and my P4 was 0.38.  Thoughts?  I was ordered to stim for three more days and return Sunday for monitoring.

May, June, August 2012 -- IUI#1-3 -- Letrozole + Bravelle + Ovidrel trigger = BFN
9/2012 -- Lap#2 to remove endo and Hysteroscopy

IVF#1 (Long Lupron) -- 12/6 ER - 20R 11F * 12/11 ET - Transferred 2 excellent blasts *
Beta #1 79.7 * Beta #2 240 * It's a GIRL!!

I have only done this once, God willing I won't need to again.
But to my knowledge follicles grow 1-2mm a day so after 5 days of stimming I would think that any over 10mm is great. The others might catch up, but you also don't want them to develop too fast so you don't get sick.

I think that looks fantastic. They are all grouped into similar sizes, you don't have a lead follicle like I had. I think the sizes look wonderful for only day 5. You will be surprised how they will start shooting up in size over the next few days. Try not to worry (trust me it doesn't help!). GL to you!

Me: 35, DH: 36, ttc: 3+ years, dx: unknown
10/11: after 2 years, saw a RE, FSH 5.4
11/11: BFP! (surprise after thyroid med & normal hsg),
12/11: missed m/c after 7 week u/s,
1/12: D&C,
6/12 IUI #1: clomid, 5 mature follicles, excellent sperm,= BFN,
7/12: IUI #2: clomid, 3 mature follicles, excellent sperm= BFN,
8/12: IUi #3: clomid, 5 follicles, = BFP!, C/P
10/12 IVF #1: FSH 5.4, estradiol AFC: 14, long Lupron 150/bravelle75,5R/5M/4F, all 4 made it to 5dt, 1 blast and 1 8 cell transferred. No frosties. BFN
IVF #2: AFC 21, MD lupron 12/25, 225bravelle/150men, 4R/4M/3F, 5dt of 1 blast BFN
IVF #3: natural start antagon, starting 3/30, ER 4/11, 12R,11M,10F

I agree with all of this!  17 follies at 5 days of stims sounds really good to me as I only had 15 total that were retrieved last time.  I think I only had 7 or 9 visible at my first stimming u/s too, so more could pop up by the time of retrieval.

Today was a big u/s day for us snow bunnies!

At my monitoring appt yesterday I had 11, which they told me, once they had the info on my blood work, was good.  I didn't get sizes for mine, but if your doctor says it's adequate, then I think that's something to celebrate!

laparoscopy 5/12; uterine septum corrected
failed IUIs 6/12, 8/12, 9/12
IVF #1 - started stimming 11/24, ER on 12/4, ET on 12/9, beta at 11dp5dt - 417! BFFP!

Thanks for the reassurance ladies! I am not sure why, but I guess I thought the follicles would be bigger at this point. Glad to hear you all think they are on track!

We are on the exact same schedule!  I think everything sounds good for you.  I have similiar counts and sizes as you do.  I have 9 in each ovary sizes 9-12 mm.  

TTC since 3/2009
DH: Normal
Me: High prolactin/mild PCOS/irregular cycles
Dec 2012: IVF- Antagonist/Ganirelix protocol due to OHSS risk
ER: 12/4- 14 R, 13 M, 7 F
ET: 12/9- 2 blasts transferred, 2 frozen
BETA: BFP! 12/18-Beta #1-290, 12/21-Beta #2-over 1100 Beta#3 >10,000

That's not so bad, especially since they're all aroudn the same size. Did they call you with your e2? That would help with the follie sizes as well.

February 2013--Found a new RE but first back to the Endocrinologist for more diagnostic testing
Absolutely no idea when we can cycle again...looking into DE as well if IVF#4 fails again
PAIF/SAIF encouraged...give me some hope!!
