Early 3rd tri - severe nausea?

I'm just in the beginning of the 3rd tri (28 weeks this week), and I need some input from the voices of experience! Tell me, does this sound familiar to anyone: severe nausea that seems to be on a heartburn-type pattern, but with ZERO chest / abdomen pain?

I say it's on a heartburn-type pattern because the following do help me: eating smaller meals, drinking skim milk, not laying down but staying propped up with pillows, and avoiding greasy foods, soft drinks, and eating late at night.

All of it just like heartburn, except no pain at all. Also it's just like heartburn in that I can make it not quite as bad by doing the stuff listed above, but I can't ever seem to shake it completely... This has been going on for a month now, and it keeps me up half the night several nights a week. I just can't do this for three more months, y'all! I am so completely over the throwing up / gagging / constant burping and hiccuping.

The triage line at my doctor's office says that as long as I have no fever and can keep some food and enough fluids down (I can), that it's nothing to worry about. But I would feel much better if I heard that this is normal pregnancy stuff and not a sign something is wrong.

Bottom line, I am so miserable and I'd love some company. :-P Anyone else going through this?

Sounds like reflux/heartburn to me. I'm still dealing with it too. You're not alone!

I not only have severe heartburn but I am having severe nausea with some vomiting to go along with it. Its like morning sickness all over again.

I have had the same thing this week.  I would get such bad heartburn this week that I would get sick.  I honestly have felt like I have had the flu all week, but I too called the doctor and they just said it was probably the baby having a growth spurt and not to worry.  No recommendations, but you are not alone and I am at the same week as you are.
