Newbie Intro

Good afternoon, all!
I've been lurking for a bit around here, so I thought I'd come out of the shadows and introduce myself sooner rather than later.

After 2.5 years of marriage, DH (age 32) and I (age 28) have jumped on the TTC train after I got my IUD removed. He's been ready since the day we were married, but I have been holding the process back a bit. :)

Truth be told - it's just more than a bit odd to me to be actively trying to get pregnant...as I'm a birth-mother who has a 5-year-old daughter (placed in an open adoption). But nonetheless, very exciting - as the situation is obviously much different now than it was when I got pregnant the first time.

DX with ectopic pregnancy at 8 weeks, surgery to remove right tube 01/18/13
Both ovaries and left tube looked healthy and clear, so we'll see what the future holds for us.

Watch "The Great Sperm Race" on youtube. It's about an hour long but packed with great information.

Sign up for fertility friend and do the tutorials

Read Taking Charge of Your Fertility

Now take this advice with a grain of salt but it definitely helped me. Big Smile Good luck!

Welcome and good luck! I can't imagine how strange it must feel to be TTC after your experience, but what a brave thing you did for your daughter and her adoptive family.

I agree, it was a bit strange at first to be TRYING to get pregnant after spending years trying NOT to!

TTC #1 - Stopped using BC March 2011, officially TTC since August 2011
Dx: PCOS & mild hypothyroidism (me) & MFI
2 cycles Femara + trigger = BFN/no response. 2 cycles Clomid + trigger = BFN
IUI # 1 = BFN
Repeat SA - low motility & morphology w/ 99% bound by antisperm antibodies
Recommendation: IVF w/ICSI
