Nausea in Second Trimester?

So, I guess I should consider myself relatively lucky.  During the first trimester, I basically had no symptoms of pregnancy at all, except for a missed period and a few cramp-like twinges here and there.

Since I've entered the second trimester, in particularly since week 14,  I have had nausea pretty much all day.

I try to eat something small for breakfast, but I'm a teacher so I can't eat during the day while I'm teaching.  Instead, I suck on mints and Jolly Ranchers.  I also take a soda in so that I can sip on it throughout the day.  I catch myself gagging while I'm teaching... luckily the students haven't noticed yet.

I'm finding the tiniest things induce nausea... brushing my teeth, flushing the toilet, smelling trash, thinking about eating anything at all, the smell of pretty much any food cooking, even thinking about being nauseated....

I've tried B6 already, but are there any other natural remedies? I'd really hate to have my nausea pills filled if I don't have to.  I've heard they can make you sleepy, which I really can't have on the job.

I was really surprised by this symptom.  I thought morning sickness was supposed to go away by the end of the first trimester.

I was nauseous until week 18 or 20.  I loved sour patch gummies too!  I ate them constantly.  It may sound weird but vitamin c drops calmed my stomach too.

Have you tried essential oils? I went to a local herb/natural store and got some yummy smelling essential oils.

Mix the oils with an oil (like grapeseed or something soothing for your skin) and put it in some type of container (I got a little roller-ball one). Roll or dab it on your wrists. When you start to feel nauseus you can smell it and it should relieve your symptoms a bit.

If you have a good natural store near you they can tell you how to mix the oils, recommend soothing blends, etc. I like lime with a little lavender and vanilla mixed in.

my nausea stopped at 18 weeks. I take my anti-nausea meds for preventative reasons so once I'm finished this bottle, I think I'll stop. I bought a tin of hard sour candies. They seem to help.

I'm 2 days away from my third tri and I still randomly vomit. No, I don't get nausea, just vomit unexpectedly. Its fun.

My sister in law is only 2.5 weeks behind me and she is still sick every single day.

I'll say too, the only thing that works for me is zofran. But I have HG. I don't expect it to stop anytime soon either. With DD I was sick until the 3rd trimester.

I'm so sorry to hear this! This has been a fear of mine since I had a pretty good 1st tri. Coming into the 2nd, I'm wondering if it's been too good to be true so far. I hope you find relief!!!

My "m/s" (which is more morning, then afternoon, sickness) is so inconsistent!  I'll be great for a week, then have 2 or 3 days of m/s, then another week feeling great, then 2 or 3 days of m/s....actually now that I think of it that's pretty consistent lol
