O Question

This is my third cycle using OPKs and second temping. Last month, I got a smiley face on CD16, which is what I expected. My temp never dipped, but did stabalize around my lowest temp. I am currently on CD16 today and fully expected the test to be a smiley today because of how I was feeling and the fact that my temp actually dipped this morning. However, no smiley. My question then is that my DH and I had sex the last two nights. Should we have again tonight or wait until tomorrow? My temp seems like today would be the lucky day, but the OPK says otherwise. I know we really should do it today AND tomorrow, but that would be 5 days in a row for us and it's getting to the point where DH is complaining and doesn't seem worth it. Thinking he might need a break...

LH can take several hours to metabolize in your system.  That's why many OPK brands recommend not taking them with FMU.  It could be that you simply tested too early in the day.  If this actually is your FW and you've had sex the last several days, taking a day off shouldn't be a problem.  Many couples aim for EOD

Buy cheap OPKs on Amazon so you can test at least twice a day.  They also let you see if your line is getting darker the closer you get to Oing.  Did FF give you crosshairs last cycle?  Remember, it can be normal for ovulation to vary by a day or so, don't stress too much yet.  Give you H a break, let him have the night off!

Take a day off.  EOD is fine, honestly.  I never get a temp dip when I ovulate, so I don't think it's an "always" gotta happen thing - it's the temp rise for 3 days straight afterwards that confirms ovulation.
