tummy troubles??

So my o has always been a GREAT eater and has always had a good appetite. i have been telling ppl that I can barely feed him from a spoon, but recently that has changed... Yesterday he had several loose diapers in a row and he didnt eat solid food for dinner, he only wamted his bottle at bedtime. He did eat this mornings fruit/toast breakfast, but then he refused lunch. He has had two more looses diapers with not much in them, but he has not had a fever.... Is he getting a stomach bug? I know he is getting teeth right now, but why refuse food??????? I am a little worried that he isnt really eating.

I have heard of LO refusing solid food sometimes when they are teething.  I haven't personally experienced that, but I know it happens.  So it's possible that has something to do with it.  I'd be more concerned with the loose stools if it continues because he could become dehydrated.  If it continues another day, I would probably call my pediatrician just to see what they say.

I have definitely heard of babies have diarrhea when they get a tooth, sometimes even a fever. But, if LO is getting diarrhea, I would try pedialyte rather than milk or formula. Try the BRATT diet - bananas, rice, applesauce, tea (well forget that for now), and toast. As long as you are getting fluids in him, he should be fine without solids. DD2 won't drink pedialyte so we tried gatorade. She didn't really like that, so we had to go back to formula, but the milk product in it just prolongs the diarrhea. Definitely call your pediatrician anyway just to make sure, but in the mean time, try pedialyte. The clear kind, no coloring, and maybe warm it?
