I would say the exact opposite.  I prefer Declan Howard.  (But Howard was my great grandfather's name, so I'm partial to it...)

Patrick & Howard are both family names and are pretty interchangeable at this time. My husband prefers Elliot but I am just in love with Declan. I know it is uncommon but I can't get it out of my head!

I know a lot of little boys named Elliot... also, Elliot and Scarlet sound almost too similar. so I would probably go with Declan. And I love the name Patrick for a middle name.
