This may be a dumb pack and play question but...

I just put together a pack and play that I used with DS but we didn't use it until he was about 6 months or so - so we never used the basinett or changing station feature.  My dumb question is....I planned on baby sleeping in the basinett feature in our room for first few weeks - can you leave the changing station snapped in with baby sleeping in basinett?  I know she's not rolling anywhere as a newborn and I didn't see anything in instructions that you can't keep it on, it would be convenient for mid night changes.  What are you all doing?

I'm planning on leaving mine snapped on as they are on opposite ends of the pack and play. The changing station doesn't over lap the bassinet in anyway and as you said LO won't be able to move around a lot.

Mine doesn't have a changing station, but I would leave it on if it did.

The changing station on ours folds over to the side (so it hangs down on the short side of the pnp) when not in use. We honestly never used that feature, but plan to this time, as we will be moving and this baby will be in our room a lot longer than DS was.

I'm 99% sure that in the instructions is states that it should be taken off when the child is left in the PNP but I never did. DD only took naps in there though.

The changing station on our P&P folds in half when not in use, so we left it on when Olivia was sleeping in it.

We didn't buy one with a changing table because they all said the table had to be removed if the baby was to be sleeping in the bassinet.  I know she wouldn't have been able to roll in the beginning but it still worried me and I didn't see the point in having the changer if I had to keep removing it all the time.  We just changed her in the bassinet.

Yes, we kept ours up and ready.  Baby is not going anywhere and the changer isn't anywhere nearby to cause suffocation, etc.

The instructions say to take it off, but I never did when DD was tiny.

We don't have one like that but I would leave the changing station on while the baby is in the bassinet - I don't see a problem with that at all!
