I went to a chiropractor for years before my insurance company switched pre pregnancy. And I Looooved it. She was so amazing. First she'd check out my back with her hands and see what needed adjusting, from neck to toes. most chiropractors require an initial x ray to ensure they won't hurt you, I'm not sure how this works when you're preggo. Then she'd put moist heat on my back and leave it for like 10 to 15 minutes, which is when I'd normally fall asleep. Then she'd come and kind of half massage/half adjust and it was fantastic. They often use a tool called the activator, but i never felt like it did much. I always felt better and she always suggested exercises and things to make you see her less and save you pain and money. Advice: relax! It doesn't work very well especially if they're trying to adjust in your neck. It won't work well/will hurt. If it freaks you out, take slow calming breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth with your eye closed. I have herniated discs and had days I couldn't walk and she fixed it. Miss her!! Good luck and feel better!!
