I am considering looking for a new doctor..My first visit was on 11/16, she asked if I was having any pain, well I told her I was in the right ovarian area but mentioned that is where I was bruised from the car wreck..I was rear ended on 10/3 and the seat belt left a bruise. She examined me and wanted an ultrasound. I go in for the ultrasound and the tech inserted the probe and saw nothing in the uterus but saw a huge right ovarian cyst with "something" hanging off it. Well I had Mirena IUD in for over 3 yrs and wound up in the ER with ovarian and paraovarian cysts which are outside the ovary. She left the room, came back in with orders to have an hcg STAT that day and then another one on Sunday, she said if i felt any pain, do not pass go, go straight to the ER! I left so upset, had the labs done that day on Friday, they were in the 400's and by Sunday was in the 800's. I called on Mon morning for further instructions and they told me that another doc in the office had looked over my levels and to keep my next appt! WOW REALLY?! I talked to my Mom that night and even posted on here looking for advice..How the heck can they mention I MIGHT have an ectopic and then do no more follow-up until Dec 4th?! So I called the next morning and they did fax an order over to the hospital for another hcg draw which came out to be 21,049. I have heard nothing since from the doctor. A few on the boards here said if my levels were that high, they should see something on the next u/s but Im always worried and have been..I just can hardly wait till tomorrow. And I plan on giving my doc a piece of my mind on how this whole situation has been handled! I went to her with my first and loved her but with them making me wait and see sucks!
