Is this a contraction or rlp?

I posted this on our facebook too but the more I think about it the more worried I get. A few times now (only one time per day) I have gotten this horrible pain in my left lower pelvic area. It feels like a running cramp sort of that intensifies and then stops. I had one about 15 minutes ago and it was so painful I had to stop and put my head on my dresser and then it stopped after 1 minute or so. I just want to make sure this isn't anything to be concerned about or be calling the doctor about

It sort of sounds like RLP to me.  I asked my doctor about something similar at my last visit and she said as long as they weren't happening on a consistent basis, were quick, and went away on their own, not to worry too much.  BUT...you should always feel comfortable about what is going on with your body, so if you want to call your doctor just to check, I would say do it.  That is what the doctor is for!  It is better than worrying and stressing yourself out.

Confined to one area, I would think it is RLP. A contraction generally is your whole abdomen and even through your back. I get pretty intense RLP if I move too quickly. Feels like a horrible charlie horse.

Whenever I have BH contractions, my abdomen gets really hard. I also wouldn't call them painful. They are occasionally intense enough that I have to sit down, but not painful.

I would call your OB just to be on the safe side. Anything that painful is worth checking out.

I hope you feel better soon.
