Anyone else??

I literally haven't done ANYTHING to prepare for this baby other than dr. appt, prenatal vitamins, and some items that friends have given me. Our excuse is that F and I are both working full time and full time students until we both graduate with our B.A.'s next FRIDAY!!!!!!

We also bought a home a month ago and have been using ANY spare time to get it move in ready. I will be fortunate enough to be able to not work again until August after graduation because DH's degree gives him a HUGE raise at his job (fire fighter)

Anyway, am I the only one who has done virtually nothing??? Feeling like a bad mom :-(

We have done nothing either. The only thing that has happened in the baby room is the purchase of a curtain but that was because we installed drapes/curtains on the four street facing windows for the whole house. I have one 6-9 month onesie of my alma mater for football games for fall 2013 and a stroller. She will not know if the rug doesn't arrive until 6 weeks after she is born.

Our excuse was that 2/3 of the house was being remodeled and all our spare cash has gone into that project. We now have to get (or plan on getting) a lot of items in a short amount of time. First world problems.

We also haven't really done anything because we're going to be moving in January. Where we are right now doesn't afford us a lot of room to store things in. The only large purchase we've made is the crib, and only because my in-laws said it wouldn't be a problem to store it in their garage until we move. Ha ha, honestly, we have plenty of time until March. I'm not going to start freaking out until February. ;)

I don't consider getting ready to graduate from school in a week and getting moved into your house doing nothing. Those are great things that are super important and should allow you to have more time and resources to all the things you want to do to prepare for the baby very soon.

We've done zilch. Spare room is full of random things, the baby's crib (not assembled), bags of unisex baby clothes that I've sorted by size but still need washed, our old bed we need to haul out, and the lazy boy rocker with other misc. things.  My gf's were asking yesterday what needed done and I realized just how much I have left to do.  I'm not worrying or thinking about it until after Christmas. My SO is building the dresser and it won't take long to get it all sorted out.  We are still waiting to find out the sex so after that I'll start buying more things and will kick it in gear then.

We have done absolutely nothing it feels like! We are currently living in a 1-bedroom apartment and looking for house but our lease is not up until June 1st.

We have always been procrastinators so I am not starting to stress just yet. I have a few little clothes and I am sure after the shower I will dive into baby mode but right now I am working full-time and finishing a grad class (done 12/14). I am hoping with the holidays coming over, we will be able to find a house and get a game plan together.

(sorry for rambling)

I think buying a house and getting it ready is kind of a lot.  It's what I've been doing! We went from a 1/1 condo to a 5/4 house.  We are renting our condo furnished so we really only moved personal stuff and had to get all new furniture.  It's kept me pretty busy.  Add going to school and I'd say you've got quite a bit on your plate.  Don't beat yourself up over it.

We really haven't done too much aside from registering, and buying a few little things off the registry. We had to basically tear down the nursery and start from scratch. Which involves repainting and new carpet. We are taking our time with that process as to make sure to do it right. I am also seriously waiting until after the Holidays to get in gear. Jan and Feb will be more than enough time to get everything completed.

Eh, i really havent done anything.  I'm working on DD's big girl room right now, then I have to redo the office/guest room, THEN I have to do the nursery.  You've got time!  I know it doesnt feel like it, but truly, there isnt THAT much that HAS to be done before baby arrives.

I haven't done anything really either. I also don't think too much will be done by the time our LO arrives. With my broken ankle and my SO and I having financial troubles, we are just praying something works out in our favor. I am sure you will be fine and things work out. Keep your head up. Congrats on graduating, that's awesome!

Exactly this!

Your schooling and new home are doing WAY more for your LO than having furniture, clothing, even basic supplies like diapers! The things you guys have been busy doing will afferent LO FOREVER!

I have done much less as far as preperatio. For this baby Thar my other two. One reason is that of course I am more laid back that with the first two and realize that preparing out lives for the baby is much more than prepping a room or having clothing! Also, I have been on modified bed rest and therefore DH is working hard both at his job and around the house. We plan on getting busy after Christmas with all the little things.

I say, its smart that you gave waited until after graduation. That way you guys will both have time to enjoy the process and the last months, weeks even, of preparing for baby! Have FUN!

With my dd -- she was due in March 1992 -- we had a crib that friends had given us set up in our room  and dd's room was under remodeling (took ex forever to finish it) until dd was close to 3 months old.

When ds1 was about 2-3 weeks old we moved from a 3 bedroom base housing unit (my mom was living with us so she had the 3rd bedroom) to a 4 bedroom unit, so ds didn't have a bedroom at all until he was close to a month old.

We're in the process of moving ds1 to our basement so we can use the other bedroom as a nursery for ds2.  I've given ds1 until the end of the year to get the bedroom cleaned out so that we can start preping it for the nursery.  Dh and I agreed not to buy the baby stuff until after the first of the year -- we're going to borrow a cradle/bassinet or buy a pnp for Pip-Squeak to sleep in for the first few weeks/month so I'm not even concerned if no crib right away.

The only thing in my mind that is a HIGH priority is getting the car seat figured out right after the holidays.  All else, well, it can be bought on the way home from the hospital if that's the way it works out.

Nothing here either and I have no excuse (I'm not working nor am I in school).  The only baby items we have been given to us as gifts or hand me downs.  We nailed down the crib, etc. but haven't bought it.  I'm having a shower about 6 weeks before I'm due so that's when I'll begin to feel anxious (which is probably a bad thing...LOL).
