Sleeping...ugh.

Now that i am getting bigger each week i'm finding it harder to sleep! I sleep with a boomerang shaped pregnancy pillow and love it but i toss and turn all night and its hard to move that pillow around. If i don't sleep with it my hips kill in the morning.

Also, i know i'm suppost to be sleeping on my left side as much as possible but i cant! I mean i have been, but like i said i toss and turn all night, is sleeping on the right side really that bad??? As soon as i turn on my right side, i feel guilty!

I dont think i have slept threw the night in about a month now and i'm sure its going to get worse..

Just thought i would share my grumpiness today due to lack of sleep.

Left side is preferred, but you can sleep on your right side. My hip hurts on both sides if I stay there too long. It isn't natural to stay in one position all night long.

It's not going to kill you to sleep on your right side, it's just recommended to sleep on your left to keep pressure off of the inferior vena cava.  But here's the thing - you'll know if there's too much pressure on the IVC because you'll start to feel a little dizzy or faint.  Too much pressure on the IVC cuts off what's pretty much your main source of blood flow, so you'll know for sure if that's what's going on.  If you're on your back or your right side and start to feel kind of off, just turn over.  No bigs.

My doc actually said to sleep however I am comfortable.  If it becomes uncomfortable to sleep on my back, move to my side, but until then, it should be fine.

I am finding it's not as easy to get comfortable. I blame it on a small bed and a 6'4" husband. I'm not a small girl either, so the combination doesn't help.

I bought a snoogle and am waiting for it to arrive.... until then I'm using a blanket rolled up and a pillow on top of that. I find if I don't have something in between my legs, my lower back and hips kill in the morning.

I'm normally a left side sleeper anyways, but am finding that I am more comfortable on my back for now.

I am a tummy sleeper and its been a pain in the tush to try to sleep. Some nights I can get to sleep on my tummy (not sure how I think the kid moves up in my throat so I can sleep lol), but then I ended up on my side or my back. I move so much I dont think it matters really anymore. Sleep is just not my friend.

I sleep however is comfortable.  Some of that includes still on my stomach, turned sideways a bit.  I know it only gets harder as I get bigger, so don't limit yourself to just 1 position now (unless its the only one that is comfy for you today).

I know how you feel, I am up all hours of the night just trying to get comfortable. I find it is easier to be the big spoon and lay on my right side and Dh is the little spoon. It is taking him awhile to get used to it but it is the only way I can fall alseep. I used to sleep on my belly but now it is so uncomfortable that I cannot. Sleeping in general is just harder now that I am getting bigger.

I've started the same sleeping pattern that I had last time.

Fall asleep, wake up at 2am, fall asleep at 5am and promptly wake up at 6am for the day. It's absolute torture.

Last night little baby decided to play punch/kick with my bladder. All night "I have to pee! no I don't.... I have to pee! no I don't.... I have to pee! no I don't...." It was so weird.
