Outgrew Bath Sling - Now What?

We have the Fisher-Price Animal Krackers Rinsin Fun Tub (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11235802)

I loved it at first becasue the sling was soooo helpful with bathing.  DD just layed on it and enjoyed her bath.  You had both hands free to wash her.  She is now 4 months and has outgrown the sling.  We actually used it longer than we should have, but she was starting to get uncomfortable.  We now just sit her in the baby tub, but it is soooo much more difficult to bath her.  She can't sit up quite yet on her own.  So your trying to hold her up and wash her, and she's sliding all over the place!  We use the hand held shower head and keep the drain open so there is no standing water hazard.

Maybe there is another tub that has more support for babies who can't quite sit up on thier own?  Are there any seats that you can put in the tub (like a bumbo - only safer)?  When does it get easier???

Honestly she'll be sitting up on her own in no time, so I wouldn't buy yet another tub. I'm surprised that sling didn't hold out for longer. I had a different kind of tub, but the sling lasted until she could sit up on her own. It might suck now, but it'll probably only suck for a few more weeks. I'd personally stick it out.

Thanks!

I'm sure we could have continued to use the sling longer, but she was starting to look really uncomfortable and squished up!

We've loved the Fisher-Price Whale of a Tub... it has support for babies who aren't sitting up yet and I can still bathe my LO in it even now, with the support bar removed (he's 9 months).

I saw someone mention the bumbo working well in the tub. Maybe try that?

We have the First Year's Tub and love it! It has the (removable) sling for newborn stage, an "infant" side that is reclined a bit for those who can't sit on their own yet, and a "toddler" side for those that can sit on their own. We've used it at all stages.

Can u put a baby bath sponge like this (http://www.albeebaby.com/suincobasp.html?gdftrk=gdfV21377_a_7c623_a_7c4726_a_7c08248&gclid=COeap6zK_7MCFcU-MgodDlIA0Q) in the tub as a kind of back support? My SIL does that in her baby bathtub

I never had a tub, too much of a pita. Have you tried to use the regular bath with a hand towel or face cloth under lo? Why spend the money for such a short period of time? My kids seriously loved kicking and splashing in the big tub.

Same here. We used it until DD started splashing so much it was just easier to put her in the big tub.
