Took me three months to get pregnant (August 2012 to October 2012). I was never on hormonal birth control right after the birth of my daughter in October 2011. We were only using condoms and pulled the goalie to TTC.

There is always a chance to get pregnant if you are ovulating. In order to figure out if you are you need to chart your basal body temperature: www.fertilityfriend.com (there are tutorials, take them). Its possible to ovulate your first month off of BC, but there is no way to know if you have already. Ovulation Predictor Kits (OPK) only detect LH surge, not that you actually ovulated. Check out the newbie link over on Trying to Get Pregnant. It is very helpful.

It is unlikely that you are pregnant if you haven't gotten your first period off of BC yet. Our experiences and how long it took us to get pregnant have no way to predict how long it will take you. It takes the average couple up to a year with perfect timing. Have sex and see how it goes.

Good luck.

I stopped taking the pill at the end of August, had my first real cycle starting on Oct 5th, then ovulated a little late (I was taking my temps to know forsure) but got pregnant my first full cycle after the pill.

I used fertilityfriend.com as well, it made it super easy to know whats and whens.

I stopped birth control in October 2011 after being on it for five years. My cycles started right away and were very normal. I charted using fertility friend and was ovulating every month from the beginning...and it still took us 10 months to get pregnant. Everyone is different - there are just so many factors involved. As others have said though, charting on fertility friend is a great first step in getting a better understanding of your cycles. Good luck!

I wasn't on implanon, but it took me 4 months, 3 cycles to get pregnant after coming off birth control.  My first cycle after birth control was around 55 days, which means I didn't ovulate until 40 days after my last BC period.  It is really common to have "wonky" cycles after coming off birth control.  If you are taking ovulation tests then continue to take them in the hopes that you will catch your ovulation.  The rule of thumb is to take a pregnancy test weekly until you reach 60 days past the first day of your last period.  After 60 days call your doctor, you may need some medicine to help jumpstart your period.

I went off birth control August 1st. October 10th I found out I was pregnant. The first cycle after I was off, was messssed up. I was on my period for 3 1/2 weeks. Then after that I had one super normal one...then the third one I got our BFP.

I had been on the Depo shot for the last 7 years, it took us a year and a half before our first BFP.  It took at least 6 months for my cycle to start up again.

I was on ortho cyclen for 8 years. When I got off in November 2011, I never got a period. Still to this day, no period. I totally blame the pill! I had to use provera + clomid to conceive!

We didn't ttc after birth control but I got off of it over a year ago- and after 10 years of being on it, my period started a month after I got off and it's been 28ish days since.  So if you had normal periods before the pill- then its possible you could be pregnant.  But if you finished your pack and got off November 7th- you prob wouldn't have started yet- unless you had short periods.  GL to you!

I stopped taking the pill at the end of August, and we conceived mid-September. I never had a period after going off the pill--I went from being on the pill to being pregnant within two weeks.

So, yes, it is possible that you could get pregnant. Good luck!

I got my Implanon out June 15, 2012 and I got my BFP October 16, 2012. I had it in for the full 3 years and before that I was using Depo for 6 years. I spotted shortly after I got it removed and had my first period July 13- July 16 and I ovulated July 20. My period was fairly regular and I ovulated every month. I know all this because I charted. I HIGHLY recommend it. I know I am extremely lucky to have gotten pregnant that fast. It could take up to a year. It is possible you ovulated without your period but probably unlikely. Good luck.

I got pregnant the first cycle off bcp with my first child. It can definitely happen! It does make dating your pregnancy a bit more difficult for your OB though.

Just wanted to say.. it can definitely happen before you even get a period!!

I have been off the pill since end of August, and have had no period, at all. I actually went to the doctor as I was starting to get concerned, I assumed no period meant no ovulation, which means no getting pregnant.

She said it can take months and up to a year to get a normal cycle back to not worry, but that I could get pregnant when I ovulate for the first time before a period even happens... .and I did!

So keep doing those ovulation strips, and keep aware of your body.. I just got my BFP last week and I did not get one period since coming off the pill in August :)

Goodluck!!
