What do you think of...

DH & I just recently found out we're having a little girl in April. Our top two girl names are Hadley and Emma. I love both of them for different reasons. I was leaning more towards Emma, but then I started seeing A TON of little Emmas coming in to the doctor's office I work at. Now we're afraid that she will be one of many in her class at school. Anyways...which name do you prefer?

Emma's been popular for years now, and I think Hadley's kinda trendy. I do like both names, though. Emma wins for me just by a hair.


BFP #1: 10/27/11; EDD 6/27/12; mmc 11/27/11 @9w4d (Baby measured 6w).
BFP #2: 2/17/12; EDD 10/29/12; heart rate of 78bpm on 3/12/12 @7w (Baby measured 6w); no hb 3/19/12 @8w; D&C 3/20/12.
BFP #3: 7/23/12; EDD 4/2/13; miscarried one twin 8/11/12 @5w6d, remaining twin just may be my rainbow.

I prefer Emma to Hadley.  Emma is pretty, Hadley is very trendy.

Emma is so super crazy popular.  I am just tired of hearing it.

Neither names are my "style"-- but in this situation I would probably choose Hadley.

When I was pregnant with DD, my DH suggested this name to me out of the blue.  While trendy sounding, it sort of stuck with me and is a GP name for me.

Definitely Hadley - I know so many little Emmas. It's a pretty name, it's just overdone IMO.

Emma is a pretty name but super popular.  Hadley is not feminine to me.  I would go with Emma or keep searching.  There's time.

Emma is very popular. However, it is feminine and classic. Hadley is trendy and not feminine IMO.

Emma is everywhere these days.  But it's a classic, cute girls' name.

Hadley seems trendy to me, but I have to confess I don't actually know a Hadley IRL, so it may just be perception from this board.

I don't think Hadley will be as common as Emma.

Both are popular, but I think Emma is a classic name like Sophia whereas Hadley is trendy now. I would still stick with Emma.

Hadley over Emma simply because of the popularity of Emma. It's awful to be one of three in a classroom and always have to go by Emma M or something.

I love Emma...but I am biased that is my DD's name. :) I know there are tons of them though LOL...but I love her name and she thinks its so cool that she is known as Emma M in her kindergarten class haha (there is one other Emma in the class) So if you love it use it! :)
