Itchy/No pregnant googling!

I have been itching like crazy. It's making me nuts. It's way worse at night when I'm trying to sleep.

I have sensetive skin, but no rash or anything. I've been using lotion and hydricortisone cream to combat it and nothing helps. Like an idiot, I googled it this morning and now I'm worried I have cholestasis. I've got the symptoms- loss of appetite, itching with no rash (which is worse at night)... Blech.

I've called my doctors office. I know I shouldn't have looked it up, but I did. The good news is that I'm not usually an annoying patient so hopefully she will take my concern seriously. I usually am good about not googling things, but the itching is getting to me.

Of course the first article I read says that there is a risk of still birth. Dammit. They always say either you or the baby are going to die....

FWIW, I have had bad itching that is worse at night, and loss of appetite.

The itching I chalk up to my skin stretching bc it persists, no matter how much or what kind of moisturizer I put on.

The lack of appetite I chalk up to the fact that the baby is taking up more than his fair share of my abdominal cavity, so there isn't much room for a full stomach.

Maybe I'm wrong and I'm dying too ;)  But I thought it might make you feel better that I'm having similar symptoms.

Is it just your belly?  If it is, it could just be the growing and stretching.  When I had cholestasis, it was from head to toe, and I scratched my arms and legs raw.  I was already in the hospital on bedrest when it started, and they gave me Benedryl.  It helped enough that it knocked me out so I forgot to scratch.

This! I assumed dry skin due to the change in weather was also contributing to my itchiness.

It's on my arms and legs mostly. and right between my shoulder blades. I'm starting to break skin from the scratching.

It probably is nothing, but if nothing else, it's making me nuts and nothing seems to be helping.

I'm super itchy, too, but I do have a rash (they don't think it's PUPPS but also don't know what it is)

I'm sure your fine - my skin is super dry and I feel like I itch all over, even where my rash is not.  The md gave me the okay for benadryl, which is a wonderful thing to help me sleep through the night, too!

googling is dangerous though, and I had the same worries.  I was nauseous this morning and vomited, so I googled...mistake!

also, don't EVER google image search rash & pregnancy, yucko!

Ditto! I have a rash all over my hands and legs. After googling, I thought PUPPPs but I have a Dr's appt tomorrow morning to find out. Googling is evil when pregnant.

As an update, my doctor did decide to order a hepatic function panel. Just had it done while at work tonight (the perks of working in a doctor's office).

I should know soon what's going on. I can't decide what would be worse: Having a condition, but at least knowing about it, or being uncontrollably itchy for no reason for 10 more weeks...
