Hi ladies! I am having a much better week so far than last week, where I was consumed by PgAL brain and really struggling. I still have MANY moments of uncertainty, but I listen to LO's HB every night with the doppler and that has helped me a lot. I know it's not recommended to over-use the doppler, but as soon as I hear the HB, I shut it off. I think the benefit it brings to my stress level and overall wellbeing is worth it to me.

- I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve been struggling. Huge (((hugs))). Being PgAL is really hard and I hope that this week brings you more comfort than the prior week. Did your OB have any reasoning for your itchy arms?
Thanks, Nola. She didn't give me a reason for the itchiness but didn't seem overly concerned either. I brought up the possibility of colestasis and she just said we would monitor it and see if it got worse. Thankfully, each day the itching has lessened and today (knock on wood) they haven't itched at all. Hopefully, it was just some weird localized reaction to something.
How far along are you and how are you feeling?
I am 16w3d and feeling mostly fine. I am having sciatic pain, which can be a real PITA - especially because I have to climb stairs both at my house and at work.
Any appointments or updates coming up that you'd like to share?
Nothing this week. Praying for a boring and uneventful week of pregnancy :)
Are you feeling any movement / flutters?
Last week, I definitely felt some flutters on multiple occassions. For the past couple of days though, I haven't felt anything. But, LO is obviously moving around like crazy because I can hear a LOT of movement on the doppler now.
Random GTKY:
I would like to see Les Miserables. I'm a huge Broadway fan and love the music, but have never seen the show so I think I will enjoy it.
A/S Schedule:
I am scheduled for December 18th :)
Suggestion: Lately, I am really struggling with figuring out whether or not to return to work after the baby is born. I feel like, since I'm PgAL, I have an even greater desire to be at home with my baby but I'm not sure how to make that work. If anyone has suggestions next week for resources on how to determine whether one's family can financially support 1 income, I would LOVE the input. I recognize that it's a very personal decision, but any insight I could get would be very much appreciated. Thanks and have a great week!
