S/O Bed protectors

Just thought I'd mention this…I got one this time around with ds. When i was pregnant with dd we had a mattress with a foam pillow top that i loved. After dd was born I sweated all that fluid out for like 2 weeks and would sleep on top of a towel b/c it was ruining the foam top. Nobody told me about all the sweating so I just thought I'd pass along the info. I mean, I would go to bed with my hair dry and blown out from earlier (don't judge…i needed a sense of normalcy) and would wake up with the curliest wet head. My husband asked me if i had gotten up and taken a shower. LOL!

I want to look for a mattress protector because I'm worried about my water breaking in bed... lol.  It's so silly for me, too.  With DD#1, my OB broke my water when I hit 6 cm and natural labor quit (he was trying to keep it going rather than just doing a C-sec.)  We have a regular pad on, but I've been looking for a waterproof one and haven't found them in my area.  Any suggestions where to look?

I got mine at Wal-Mart in the store, but you can get them online too.  Target also has them for a reasonable price.

Oh gawd, the awful night sweats pp!  The first night it happened, i woke up thinking I had peed the bed.  Was definitely glad i had a waterproof protector on there.

I had an aunt suggest buying a few of those giant Dog wee wee pads and putting them under my side of the bed.

We got one from the same place we bought our mattress because if something happened to the mattress during the ten year warranty period and there was a spot on the mattress the warranty would be voided. It was about $80 for a California king, but worth every penny.

When I bought my mattress, the dude at the store up-sold me one (partly to meet the amount to get the financing I needed). It's basically waterproof, so, I think I'm covered. I might remember the towel thing, though. Ah, night sweats... I can't wait :P
