We didn't have that problem with just Zantac but both DS and DD were on Similac sensitive but ended up with a milk allergy and we had to switch them to Alimentrum (and Zantac). On the sensitive they both had hard stools. We had to offer 2oz of water a couple times a day and up to 2 bottles with kyro syrup a day (1tsp per 4oz formula). Eventually the problem resolved itself.
