UPDATE w/ Birth Announcement

I completely disappeared a few weeks ago because--- we had our little girl!!!  

I made it to 34 1/2 weeks (after going into PTL at 28 1/2 weeks) and then my little girl got sick of waiting.

My water broke and from there things went very fast (which I was told is often the case in PTL),  I was able to deliver vaginally, but not without sustaining a pretty awful tear.  But my doctor stitched me up and I am doing ok now :)

My little girl spent 10 days in NICU.  She was a BIG preemie at 5lbs 12oz and everyone says her size contributed to the relatively short NICU stay.  

She has been home for a week now and is doing great!

I knew it! I tried to page you on here a couple weeks ago. That is a BIG 34 weeker- over a full pound more than my boys! Glad you are both well. Congrats, mama!

Haha--- I know- I totally disappeared!  

After she was born I was in the NICU constantly (I have been able to breast feed, so I tried to do almost all her feedings and pumped when I couldn't be there) and I was so exhausted!!!

How are your little guys?

That's great that she took to breastfeeding so quickly! And yes, the NICU journey is quite exhausting. Awesome that your little mama only had 10 days.

The boys are doing pretty well. Both have severe hemolytic anemia and need blood transfusions, but I think they will be fine. They are up to 6 lb 4 oz now. :)
