MMR vaccine

My 18 month old got the mmr vaccine last Friday morning. I'm writing this now the following Monday night. She threw up Friday night after the bedtime bottle and again Sunday night after the bedtime bottle. Tonight she hasn't puked so far but it sounds like she's coughing/gagging in bed. She is generally not a puker at all which is why I'm wondering whether I should be concerned. Otherwise, all signs point to normal no fever, eating well, generally upbeat demeanor.

Baby of a friend of mine had a horrific reaction to the mmr, requiring hospitalization, so it may be I'm just hyper alert. Anyone have any input about their child's reaction to the mmr vaccination?

My son got his MMR vaccine last Tuesday. I don't remember vomiting being among the reactions to watch out for. Maybe she caught a bug?

Ds got his Friday and hasn't had any vomiting. He's had some upset stomach episodes though. I hope your Lo feels better soon.

From what I recall when DS got his, it's usually a delayed reaction (I think they said 5-12 days after?). It could be possible that your DD picked up the stomach bug at the doctor's office (or elsewhere for that matter).

Sounds like they are probably not related and she probably just caught something somewhere. As long as she is eating fine and doesn't have a fever, I wouldn't worry too much. Just keep an eye on her and hope she feels better!

My DD didn't have any stomach issues but did run a fever of 102-103 for three days following the vaccine.
