quiggels219:Can you out a cooler with ice in your car? I did that back in highschool for the days I had cheerleading and then dance right after and had no chance to get food and also had no fridge or microwave. I'd put roasted chicken and veggies in Tupperware in the cooler and it stayed better than just in a lunch box with an ice pack. Peanut butter sandwiches and fresh fruit should be ok in the car. Also healthy bars like Lara bars, homemade granola bars, dry cereal? It's hard to think of things that don't need a refridgerator and are still safe to eat!
That's pretty much exactly what I've been doing (except the chicken - food aversions just won't allow it). PB on sprouted grain English Muffins for breakfast, Luna bars, whole grain wraps with hummus (thanks tuffytiff!) for lunch. It is really hard to think of pg-friendly food that doesn't need reheating isn't it?
Keep 'em coming & thanks you guys!
