Flu Shot?

Did you get a flu shot before starting your IVF cycle? I don't usually get one (last time I got one I was PG 2 yrs ago)

Asherman's Diagnosis (cervical & uterine scarring) 8/17/11
IUIs #1-#5 & 1 canceled cycle, all BFNs
IVF #1, June 2012 - No ET. Froze 6 embryos due to lining issues.
FET Cycle #1 July, transferred 2 embryos BFN
FET Cycle #2 August, transferred 2 embryos BFN
Break due to DH surgery, relocation to Seattle
IVF# 2 December. BFP 1/12!

I did get a flu shot prior to IVF. It was recommended by my RE, but not required. The flip side of it is that if you were to get sick during a cycle, it would be cancelled. So I went ahead and got one, even though I'd never gotten one before. 
Me: 34, DH: 30 :: TCC since 2/11
SA: Perfect! CD3 b/w=Elevated Prolactin? HSG = Blocked Right Tube
April- Femara 2.5mg + Trigger + IUI = BFN
May- Femara 5mg = CX - No Response on Left = BFN
June- Femara 7.5mg + Trigger + IUI = BFN
August- Lap & Hysteroscopy = Blocked & Partially Blocked Tubes
Scar Tissue Removed, Left Tube Partially Open
September- Femara 5mg = CX - No Response on Left = BFN
October- 100mg Clomid + Trigger + TI = BFN
IVF # 1: Stims 11/30 ER 12/12/12! (10R, 8F, 2 Transferred, 6 Frosties!)
Beta #1- 176 c/p @ 4w4d
FET #1 February 26th
Lost 4 Frosties to Thaw, Transferred 2 = BFFN
IVF # 2 in May Stims Begin 5/10
ER 5/21

I got one, and I have for the past several years.

In addition to the fact you can get extremely sick if you get the flu during pregnancy, it seems that there is an increased rate of autism among babies whose mothers get the flu during pregnancy. 
TTC #1 12/2009 BFP #1 1/2010, M/C 6 weeks;
BFP #2 6/2010, DD lost to congenital heart disease, we are heartbroken.
TTC #2 4/2011, Diagnosed MTHFR homo, FVL hetero; Four natural cycles BFN;
8/2011 Hysteroscopy, small septum; Acupuncture; Clomid IUI BFN; Follistim IUI BFN;
1/2012 IVF #1 BFN; 4/2012 FET BFP #3!
5/2012 7w1d u/s: anembryonic demise; M/C @8w.
Laparoscopy 6/2012 found Stage II/III endo, removed w/ laser.
8/2012 IVF #2 epic fail: no viable embryos.
Vacation, break, second opinions, new RE.
1/2013 Surprise chemical pregnancy (break cycle), IVF#3 postponed
2/2013 TI w/ hormonal support, prednisone, aspirin, Lovenox, acupuncture
gave us a miracle BFP!

10/11: after 2 years, saw a RE, FSH 5.4
11/11: BFP! (surprise after thyroid med & normal hsg),
12/11: missed m/c after 7 week u/s,
1/12: D&C,
6/12 IUI #1: clomid, 5 mature follicles, excellent sperm,= BFN,
7/12: IUI #2: clomid, 3 mature follicles, excellent sperm= BFN,
8/12: IUi #3: clomid, 5 follicles, = BFP!, C/P
10/12 IVF #1: FSH 5.4, estradiol AFC: 14, long Lupron 150/bravelle75,5R/5M/4F, all 4 made it to 5dt, 1 blast and 1 8 cell transferred. No frosties. BFN
IVF #2: AFC 21, MD lupron 12/25, 225bravelle/150men, 4R/4M/3F, 5dt of 1 blast BFN
IVF #3: natural start antagon, starting 3/30, ER 4/11, 12R,11M,10F

Me:28 DH:28 TTC since 1/11 Dx: unexplained IF/early DOR
Feb'12- Clomid/TI with CD3 &21 labs(normal)& SA-count 6mil/ml,morph/motil OK-BFN
April'12 Ultrasounds,HSG -clear, slight acurate uterus
5/14 IUI #1-50 mg clomid-post wash total motile count 19.3 prometrium 2dpiui= BFN
6/11-IUI #2-100 mg clomid & prometrium post wash count total motile 17.5 = BFN
7/6 IUI#3 with 100 mg clomid, estridiol, prometrium. post wash total motile count 23.3 = BFN
8/30IVF#1 BCPs, Follistim, Menopur,Ganerelix,Novarel.
ER 9/11-8R, 7M, 5F.
ET 9/14 2 embies transferred. 1 10cell Grade 4, 1 8cell Grade 4. No frosties. BFN
IVF#2 BCPs, Follistim, Menopur, Ganerelix, Novarel, Baby Aspirin
ER 12/5-16R, 12M, 8F!
ET 12/10 5dt! 1 fully expanded blast & 1 early blast. No frosties. BFN
2/13- Saline sono revealed a polyp. All additional labwork coming back normal. Genetic screen revealed DH has MTHFR deficiency & I am a carrier for it.
3/13 hysteroscopy & polypectomy
3/27 Began working with Reproductive Immunologist Dr. Kwak-Kim. Found High NK cells, High DHEAs, slight hypothyroidism, tendency toward blood clots (High PAI-1)Began synthroid & metformin 4/19.

I got a flu shot about two months before i started IVF.  I did not want to get sick and it get cancelled by something that was preventable.  I'd definitely get it if you are consiidering !
