I love the name Roman, but I think Gideon sounds better with Augustine.

I really like Roman, but Roman Augustine is a lot. It's still my favorite FN over Gideon-though there's nothing wrong with it either.

I like Roman the best and I think if you like Augustine for a middle name it works for both names.  How often do you really say both together anyway???  I don't think that 99% of my adult friends have any idea what my middle name is and I don't know theirs.

Gideon by far. I've been seeing Rowan, Ronan or Roman names on the board a lot lately. NMS and makes me think it's becoming popular but that's just MHO.
