sippy cups

hey everyone,

i see alot of question about transitioning to a cup but non are helping me with my problem..

My LO is 11 months and REFUSES to take a sippy cup we have tried 5 different kinds! If u take to stopper out she will hold it to her mouth and let the liquid pour into her mouth but wont even try to suck on it.

what kind of sippy cups does everyone else use?

The only one DS will drink out of is the munchkin straw cup. And he just figured it out a couple of weeks ago. All I can say is keep offering. DS figured his out while riding in the buggy at Walmart. I had given it to him to play with and next thing I know half the water's gone!

Ditto PP, the only ones that the girls will use are straw cups.  Their favorite cups are ones that we got for $1 from the flea market.

playtex straw cup - designed to teach them how to use it. Took DD 1 squeeze to learn.

Or try the avent plain silicone sippy nipple things that go into an avent bottle. DD likes those now too. I can't find a pic, but they're clear and look like a bottle nipple, but shaped like a sippy. We got 2 in a pack from BRU.

I use the Nuby sippy cup. I also let her drink water from a regular cup and we have the doidy cup. I think that may have helped her learn the sippy cup.

She also drinks out of a regular straw in a restaurant cup or the tervis cup, but can't get her to do it using the straw sippy cups.

We use the nuby too, but it took forever for him to get it.  Now he loves it.  I just kept offering it and he finally got it.
