34 weeks and getting pain

Hello ladies

im 34 weeks pregnant and last week i had to got to the hospital with contractions. the highest contraction was 60 but my cervix was closed. i keep getting constant pain and yesterday was worse than last week but i didnt go to the hosp as i know that the pain will go away eventually.

could it be that i can give birth anytime before my 40 weeks? and if so, would my baby be healthy. last i checked after my ultra sound last week he was already 2.1 kg

Any baby can be born at any time, technically.  Yours may hold on til your edd, or decide to come early.  As far as if he is healthy, thats a question for your doctor, not a bunch of internet strangers who have no idea of your medical history.  However, 37 weeks is considered full term, fyi.

Sorry to hear you're uncomfortable. I've been in constant pain since I was 7 months (I'm 37 weeks today). It's primarily focused in my lower pelvis and back.

However, I had this pain for a few days in my cycle for 3 years prior to getting pregnant. I was hoping pregnancy might "shift" some things and cure it, but to no avail.

Talk to your doctor frequently. Mine has allowed me to stay on vicodin (which I was taking before), as it's Tylenol-based and won't harm the baby. I'm sure there are women on here that would have MAJOR opinions about that, but I'm relying on my OBGYN and she's one of the best docs in our (major) city.

The baby's health is primary, of course, but your comfort comes in a close second.

Heating pads, baths, and yoga have helped me too. They don't cure anything by any means, but they help.

Good luck!
