Ideas for an Indian middle name (girl)

Hi All!  So we have decided on the name Ava if we should have a little girl.  I'm 100% east indian, and my hubbs is Irish.  Her last name will start with an M.  I want her to keep a little of her heritage with a pretty, easy to pronounce Indian name.  Preferably not a Hindu name if possible as I am Christian.  I have an American name myself, but I am brown LOL.  I just want this little girl to know where she comes from!  Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks, and congrats!

I like these with Ava:

Gita, means "song" in Sanskrit
Kavita, means "poem" in Sanskrit
Lavanya, means "beauty" in Sanskrit
Malati, means "jasmine" in Sanskrit
Mira, means "sea" in Sanskrit

My Indian friends named their little one Zoya!  Ava Zoya sounds cute!

I had a roommate in college named Eshani and loved her name... her family was from Sri Lanka but I figure there might be some crossover in the naming, given proximity?

I've also loved the name Latika since watching the movie Slumdog Millionaire...

Also, a quick perusal of Indian names on this site (and looking for ones that don't end in the letter -a to avoid something too rhymy with Ava) led me to the name Mythri. Supposedly means friendship (though I don't necessarily trust TB's name resources). Either way, I think it sounds awesome, lol.

Thanks for the suggestion!  I am SO with you with finding a name that doesn't end in A.  Doesn't sound right with Ava!

Wow!  Thanks for all of the suggestions!!  I do like Kavita, but that is my cousin's baby's middle name and she was born just last year!  I want to try to stay away from names that end in A because I don't like how they sound after Ava.  I'd prefer an i.  Its so much harder than I expected!  She may just have the original non-indian middle name that I first thought of, Ava Grace!
