Similac advanced

We recently switched to Similac advanced today and I noticed it's very foamy. does anybody else have this problem?

We used that for awhile with DS1 before we switched to Good Start to help with constipation. I remember it was more foamy than Good Start.

That is the only formula we have ever used and now that you mention it, it is very foamy. Not that I have anything to compare it to though cause thats all my kids have ever had.

Definitely more foamy than gentlease, which is what we feed DD now

Do you have any of the Similac bottles? They have a little bubble wand looking thingy in them that reduces the bubbles. I have a couple of those, and a few Playtex bottles, and there is a big difference in the foaminess.

Are you talking about the powder?  Because I found it got really foamy if I shook it but wasn't bad if I stirred instead.  The Dr. Brown's formula pitcher was a lifesaver.

We use Similac Advance and I have to stir it, otherwise I can't stand giving it to him. I had to tell SO not to shake it in the bottles (we are using Dr Brown's bottles and I don't think you're supposed to mix in there anyway). I've seen the pitcher and am about to buy it with one of my Target gift cards.

Yes - all the Similac formulas tend to be foamy.  We switched at 6 months to the Target (up & up) version of Similac Sensitive - literally the same formula for WAY less money, and not foamy :)  win-win!  Side note, it took me 6 months to finally switch to the generic.  I was convinced the similac version was better!  The generic works great - I know that's not what you were asking, but just throwing it out there!!

Ill try stirring instead. We just switche from gentlease cause it wasnt helping. Not to mention she is not so starving all the time.
