Bedtime Routine for 11 month old

Hello! I was wondering if any of you would share you bedtime routine for your 11 or 12 months old. I'm curious if you do bath's everynight or read a bedtime story and in what order along with their last bottle and brushing their teeth.

thanks :)

We don't do baths everynight.  Usually 3ish times per week.  Although, this depends on whether or not he has smeared food in his hair.

We usually play in his room with the lamps on (instead of overhead lights, it's much dimmer with just the lamps).  Quiet playing, like looking at puzzles (he mostly just bangs the pieces together), reading books, etc.  I will put him in his pajamas, put him in his sleep sack, turn out all the lights (except the nightlight), give him his bottle, rock him for 2-3 minutes, then put him in his crib.

FWIW, I sort of deliberately steered away from some elaborate bedtime routine.  I didn't want to be a slave to this long drawn out routine night after night.  Mostly, as soon as he's in his sleep sack, he knows it's bedtime.  He's never been too much trouble to get to bed so I guess I've never had to figure it out beyond that.

With my first, we fed her dinner, whatever she was eating at the time, and then we would give her a bath. Every night at this point. She enjoyed the water play and it tired her out. The warm water and lavendar soap really seemed to calm her. Then we put her in her pjs. We gave her a warm bottle of formula and sat in a rocking chair in her room, lights off or dim, with a her noise machine on. Usually, she was half asleep by the time she finished her bottle. Its pretty much the same routine with my 8 mo, except we bathe her every other night because she has eczema.

With our DS I put him in a night-time diaper, pajamas and a sleep sack.  We go to his room and I rock him in his chair while he drinks his bottle.  I put him in the crib when he has finished his bottle and he goes to sleep.

Once he has weaned from the bottle we will replace the bottle with a bedtime story but we are not at that point yet.

My DS gets a bath around every 3 days unless he needs it sooner.  Even on bath nights he usually gets his bath about an hour or so before bed.

DS is home with DH so they do bath time during the day. At night we do pjs, diaper, and he has a bottle. I rock him for a bit and then he goes in his crib. very simple

We do a bath almost every night, then put jammies on, nurse, brush teeth, read a few stories, and then I turn out the light and sing a song while I put her in the crib. She usually goes right to sleep.

We're a few days shy of being 11 month old, but...our routine has been like this for months:

Dinner around 5.30-6pm

Play time for 30 minutes, then brushing teeth, cleaning nose getting ready for bath

Bath time at 6.30 pm EVERY day.(She's had eczema and daily baths have been proven to help her skin)

Last bottle in pj-s around 7 pm while watching Jeopardy (my LO loves it!)

Lights out at 7.30 pm

We are night owls here.  I make dinner and DH and I eat.  Then I feed DS some solids.  Then we have a bath if it is a bath night.  THen if bath, lotion, change into pjs. If no bath then before we change him, we play a bit and he gets a couple of 4 ox bottles of formula (he is on breastmilk all other times).  I might read to him again.  DH will cuddle with him.  We all play with the dogs.  About an hour before sleep time he goes in pjs and has his bit of formula.  Then after I lay down DH puts him in bed next to me and we snuggle a bit.  Then when DS falls asleep DH puts him in his crib or I do.  We are not in a strict routine at all, but we are trying to firm it up a bit.  I think we should make DS try to fall asleep in his crib, but DH likes the idea of him snuggling to sleep.

This is what we've been doing with our twins for months.  They are 10 months today.

5pm-5:30--dinner (solids) and play in high chairs

5:30-6pm--play or story time in their rockers if they are cranky.  Baths about 3x a week during this time

6pm--bottles in their rockers downstairs--it's how I have to do it with 2

6:30pm--bring them upstairs and change them into pjs.  Read a story and then put in cribs, say good night and close the door.  This usually takes about 15-20 minutes and they are asleep within 5-10 minutes and sleep until about 6:30am.  We can usually let them babble and play in their cribs until 6:45am
