Socks?

I had a monitoring appointment today, and this was the first time I wore something other than flipflops. It's still been pretty warm here in TX. I was faced with the question, leave socks on or take them off? I left them on but felt silly being naked from the waist down with socks on.

When you go to the OBGYN or RE do you leave socks on or take them off?

Married 6/09,TTC #1 7/11, Dx:Anovulation/PCOS

At my last pap I left them on...I'm sure I looked like a fool, but it was strangely comforting to have something on below the waist!

I leave them on because I don't like people looking at my feet. Looking up my vag with a light, no problem.

DH Dx: Mild MFI (borderline all 3), Varicocele
TTC#1 since 5.11
Clomid 50mg + TI = Poor Response
Clomid 100mg + TI (x2) = BFNs
Clomid 100mg+IUI#1 (5.6M Post Wash & 1 Follicle) = BFN

I leave them on, but every doctor I've had always says "take everything off but your socks". I know they aren't requiring me to keep my socks on, but it felt silly to take then off. Plus Michigan is chilly.
Dx: Endometriosis, 3 rounds of Lupron finished!

Call me a big dork .... but I left mine on.  AND I didn't realize they weren't matching til after my feet were in the air.  I felt like such a doofus.

TTC #1 - Stopped using BC March 2011, officially TTC since August 2011
Dx: PCOS & mild hypothyroidism (me) & MFI
2 cycles Femara + trigger = BFN/no response. 2 cycles Clomid + trigger = BFN
IUI # 1 = BFN
Repeat SA - low motility & morphology w/ 99% bound by antisperm antibodies
Recommendation: IVF w/ICSI

I just went to the GYN today and since it was warmer than it has been, I wore ballet flats, therefore, my feet were bare. I felt super weird being completely naked and wished I has socks, lol. FYI, I also kept my socks on for my bikini wax.

I actually pick cute knee high socks every time I go for my annual. It's always in January, and the office is freeeezzzzzing. I also bring a cardigan sweater to wear over my robe thingy. She always teases me about being so prepared.

You're right. According to TB, socks are the way to go. I just told DH if I don't get a baby, I want cute socks for Christmas.

YES! People have gross feet and I don't want my feet touching other gross feet grossness.

I loooovveeeee cute socks!  I went to a flea market on Thanksgiving and got a ton of them!

I'm a ballet flat/ flip flop queen BUT being barefoot in the DR office is gross so...I usually wear socks and leave them on...even though I HATE socks!

off for sure! i hate socks and despise the day it gets too cold to just wear sandals or ballet flats :( the only time id leave me on at the OBGYN is if my feet were really gnarly in between pedis.

also i think there is something slightly porno-ish about being naked except for your socks! i always laugh when the hubs gets undressed for sexy time but still has his socks on!

On!  I will even take a pair of socks with me sometimes to put on there.  I get cold waiting for the doctor only wearing that thin gown.

I always take them off but I'm really not a shoe/sock person (that sounds weird? haha). At the doctor office I work at, 90 percent of patients keep them on. I think it's funny.
