Gender Reveal ideas please...

My DH and I find out what we are having on the 18 and are keeping it a secret until Christmas Eve. I was thinking about doing the pink or blue cake but I really want is to be something that the grand parents can open up. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Andrea

You could do cupcakes instead of cake, that way each grandparent can have their own. I did that with my first, it was a lot of fun.

We are going to do Christmas ornaments this time. I bought silver jingle bell ornaments and will be tying blue or pink ribbon on them.

Christmas ornaments would definitely be cute.  They have the ones at Michael's or other craft stores that you can make yourself.  You could fill them with something that is all pink (I'm a purple person) or all blue -- either basket stuffing or something else fun you find in the craft store.

We found ornaments at Hobby Lobby (craft store) that said "It's a boy," and gave them as gifts. They were a big hit.

My nurse gave me an idea. You could buy different infant outfits that YOU like that would say something like "I love my grandma", "You are the best uncle ever", you get the idea. Wrap the gifts and then have the whole family open their gifts at the same time. In the end you reveal the news, get to keep the outfits, but with a promise that a special picture (that you will probably take a million of anyway) will be coming their way with a baby wearing that outfit.

We did a gender reveal box and invited my parents, his parents, and our siblings.  It was a big hit when the balloons popped out all blue!!!  You could do box for each grandparents and put in 4 or balloons!

We find out on the 17th and plan to use balloons in a giant box to tell the grandparents on Christmas!
Happily Married since 10-31-03 Meaghan Riley Grace arrived 1 month early- May 19, 2008 Angel Baby- lost on September 12, 2011- 8 weeks Hoping for a sticky baby!

We bought locket ornaments from Pottery Barn and are going to put "Girl!" or "Boy!" inside them. We're going to give one to each set of our parents and open one ourselves on Christmas morning. We figured we could add a picture once the babe is born :)

Cakes and onesises etc I find overdone. If you're doing it Xmas Eve why don't you get a pink or blue ornament or a "baby's first" ornament for them to hang on their tree for next year?

We find out the 12th! We are doing a gender reveal Christmas card. Using a big box wrapped as a present either in blue or pink and sending it to all our fan and friends.

I just thought what if you put blue or pink christmas lights around the tree.  Big reveal as you turn it on!!

 We found out 3 weeks ago and had the doctor but the babys gender in our Daughter christmas card. So on Christmas Eve she will reveal  what were having!!  Smile

Umm, it's not a gift if you take it back.

 You could do appropriately colored bibs with "I love my...." and have those "live" at grandparent's house for when baby comes to visit!

We find out on the 10th and will also be sending the reveal in our Christmas cards to friends and family but as for the grand parents opening gifts, I like the ornament, stockings and onesies as ideas.  Congrats!
