Pain... and lots of it!!!

I'm 37 1/2 weeks pregnant according to the OB, i'm starting the labor process.  of course, he said this Tuesday.  its now Thursday and it hasnt progressed.  Contractions arent terrible but 15-20 mins apart.  Yesterday, i was sitting at work and i felt something i havent felt before.  Baby girl has been sitting on my bladder for a while but when i stood up for my 900th bathroom break, a sharp pain hit the bottom of my pelvis on the left side.  pain hasnt stopped, and has made walking, sitting, etc extremely difficult.  Heat doesnt help, neither does ice or Tylonel.  any suggestions??

Probably just baby hanging out on a nerve or something-- try some rocking, stretching and rolling to see if you can get her to move a bit. Going down on all fours and rocking is supposed to help with that.

I sit on the exercise ball and that usually alleviates the pain a lot!. I've been having major contractions for a couple of weeks and cervix is completely closed, which is fine for me since I have a RCS scheduled.

I would try different positions like hands and kness or rock your hips, just move around in new ways, sit on a birthing ball and mess around with different things to try to get the baby to move off of whatever is hurting.

i've tried yoga balls, rocking, and position changing.  nothing's changed.  all fours position while taking pressure off, only puts the pressure elsewhere.  have an appt with my doctor tomorrow.
