RCS 1/31

I have been lurking on this board for a while and have been on the fence between RCS and VBAC almost my entire pregnancy.  We have decided to go for a RCS for many reasons and I am okay with it.

My son was born via C/S after a LONG labor which included 2 failed epi placements, fever, high BP and ended with me being put to sleep for the surgery and DH being forced out of the OR.  I woke up in recovery with the worst pain in my life b/c it wasn't communicated to the recovery staff that my epi had failed and I had no pain meds in me whatsoever.  When I finally got that under control I found out that my son was 9 lbs. 14 oz. and 22 3/4 inches long.  Recovery from there really wasn't bad at all considering what my body had been through.

SOOOO, here I am 8 weeks out from RCS with number 2 and I am at peace with it but also a little scared.  It has  really, really helped seeing the success C/S stories on here.

Thanks for listening!

I was back and forth as well and decided on an RCS about 4 weeks out from my due date.  I LOVED my experience and would never do it any other way.  You will be amazed at how smooth this is all going to go for you.  Seriously most painful part of all of it was my IV placement.  Good luck!
