jrcfam:Good morning. Sorry, I had finals at school and holiday busy. After reading your reply, it stirred up many questions so I put a call in to my OBGYN. I was wrong, I am only on 100mg this month. She does not monitor the progress. She will not request a blood test to see if the clomid is jump starting my ovulation. She also only does three months of clomid. The highest she will perscribe is 150mg. So, if this month is unsuccessful, then we have one more month with her then off to the RE. I am gettinf a little bummed....worried there are more serious issues like blockage which I have not been tested for. I get so excited and hopeful and then nothing. :/
I would recommend that you get to an RE ASAP! Do not wait one more month. You need to get proper care, which you are NOT getting from your OB. Clomid can cause serious issues and you really need to be monitored while you're on it - this means getting at least 2 ultrasounds per cycle that you're taking it. I was only on it for a month and my RE took me off of it because it made my endometrial lining so thin it would've been nearly impossible for me to conceive. You also want to make sure it's not making you produce too many eggs and you end up in a Kate+8 situation. And, as a previous poster mentioned, if you haven't had your tubes checked to make sure they're clear, it's pointless to be on any medication.
Please, please call an RE...
Aside from that, welcome to the group :)
