Had my ET yesterday and 2 of the 4 embryos dropped out of the running. I'm disappointed that we won't have any to freeze, but thankful we had these two to transfer.
As far as the degenerated eggs, my RE said he was really stunned by it. He said maybe he might find this in a woman over 40, but he's never seen it at 26. He said that he and the embryologist are still trying to look into what might have caused 11 of the 16 to degenerate, but we probably won't get any answers until our follow up appt on Jan 2.
I just want to try to stay positive about these remaining two embies we transferred. Prior to coming to the decision to do IVF we came really close to deciding to adopt. If this doesn't work out, we'll switch gears and end this roller coaster madness of treatments. At least I can feel at peace knowing that!
