hungry

why do i feel starved all the time?  Obviously pregnant, but if I snack healthy like apples carrots celery and various trail mix I am hungry in 20 mins or so.  If I snack on chips and not so great stuff it feels me up butthen morning sickness starts to kick my butt.  Anyone else having this problem?

You're not alone! And I did not experience this with my first pregnancy so I'm really starting to flip out over the fact that I've already gained 3 lbs in 3 weeks!!!!! At this rate I'm going to be a house!!!! I can't explain it either! It's so frustrating! I'm trying to keep it under control but in STARVING!!!!!

I'm trying to enjoy this now before everything starts to make me sick which happened with my last pregnancy.

It's all about the insulin levels :) Eat more protein/healthy fats to stay fuller longer.

Have you tried drinking juice between snacks? That keeps me full just a little longer. Don't forget to drink water, though..

I've been getting hungry within about an hour of eating no matter what I just ate. I could have a full meal, and I'm hungry. I could have just some carrots or something, and I'm hungry. In my head, it's my body encouraging me to eat and drink more than I am.

You could also try food with more fiber, like broccoli, whole grains, or legumes (beans and nuts). I agree with you that potato chips are probably not the answer. Trial and error has helped me find which healthy foods are most filling.
