Isabelle or Isabel?
My husband and I are disagreeing on the spelling of the name. Can I get everyone else's thoughts? If it helps, her middle name will be Violet and our last name is Adams.
Thanks!
I've seen both. And they both look fine to me? I would be in your same position!
I think I would prefer Isabel if the middle name had an E at the end. Like, Isabel Eliane for example. Being that you don't have an E at the end of any of your names - I think either would be fine.
Isabelle looks a little "younger" to me. And Isabel looks a little more mature.
Sh!t. I was no help.
b0710:I like both spellings. My suggestion would be if you want to call her Belle, I would go with Isabelle. Otherwise, I like Isabel.
I prefer Isabelle because of the Belle option.... I also think it looks more complete.
To me it kinda depends on how you plan on pronouncing it.
I think of Isabel as the spanish spelling and it's pronounced more like, E-sa-bell.
Where as, Isabelle is more like is-A-bell.
But maybe that's just me.

This is what I think as well. In my mind, the two different spellings are pronounced differently...

This.
ObLaDi:I have a slight preference for Isabel -- I tend to like the more straightforward spellings of names whenever possible.
I agree.

I Love the way Isabelle is spelt in this case, Its a lot more feminine especially with her middle name being Violet. Beautiful choice and congratulations!
